Paper Transport is a Wisconsin-based truckload carrier with roughly 900 trucks that has grown steadily since 1990 while prioritizing driver support and customer service. As the fleet expanded, planners faced an increasingly time‑consuming, manual matching process—balancing many data points for drivers, customers, assets and loads—while wanting to preserve the human insight that planners bring to assignments.

Paper Transport adopted Trimble Dispatch Advisor, integrated with its existing TMW.Suite, to automatically generate recommended matches (and alternatives) using location, HOS, time windows and downstream impacts, while leaving final decisions to planners. The on‑demand, quick-to‑set-up tool reduced training friction, helped newer planners ramp up, broadened planners’ routing options, and cut empty miles by about 2% within months—improving efficiency while preserving service and profitability.
