Optimized Pavement Maintenance and Rehabilitation with AgileAssets® Pavement Analyst™

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) needed a contemporary, integrated pavement management system to replace four standalone applications supporting a network of more than 80,000 centerline miles and over 500 million daily vehicle miles traveled. Key challenges included completing the migration on a tight schedule, building a new GIS module, and training staff across 25 districts to use the new system effectively.

TxDOT implemented AgileAssets Pavement Analyst as a SaaS solution with an enterprise database, GIS integration, API connectivity to business systems, advanced multi-year analytics, and robust reporting tools. The new PMS lets TxDOT run 4-year plan scenarios to optimize maintenance and rehabilitation funding, standardize external reporting, enhance spatial analysis, streamline workflows and data sharing, and is expected to deliver high benefit-cost results (a conservative 1% savings could equal about $20M/year); the implementation also earned an AXIAM Honorable Mention.
