NTB, a national carrier since 1974, prioritizes drivers as the company’s mobile ambassadors and must meet stringent on‑time delivery targets (some as high as 99.8%) while keeping safety and efficiency high. Growing customer demand for real‑time visibility and the complexity of scheduling and driver hours challenged their operations.

To address this NTB deployed PeopleNet (eDriver Logs, Vehicle Management, Speed Monitoring, In‑Cab Navigation and In‑Cab Training), enabling exception‑based dispatch, real‑time location updates and proactive alerts. The program produced measurable gains: improved CSA scores, reduced unsafe behaviors and idling, optimized routes with fuel savings, better scheduling and driver quality of life, and more efficient driver training.
