New Technology for Field Managers Quickens Pulse Rates All over the Site

Western Earthmoving, a growing civil contractor in Western Sydney and Wollongong with about 150 staff, struggled to give field managers quick access to current site elevations and positioning—they had to rely on surveyors for simple level checks, slowing decisions and work starts.

The company deployed Trimble SitePulse (tablet software plus a GNSS receiver, supported by its iBSS base and Trimble Connected Community) installed on site vehicles so managers can view 3D models, linework and live elevations, take basic measurements, and sync with the office. The change cut setup time (about 1.5 days saved per job start, operators save ~30 minutes/day), reduced errors and rework, improved safety and team alignment, and was fully adopted across crews within weeks.
