Largest Non-Profit Health Care Organization in South Florida Expects to Save Nearly $4 million a Year in Construction Management Costs by Using Proliance® Software

Baptist Health South Florida, the largest non-profit health care organization in the Miami‑Dade region with seven major hospitals and extensive outpatient services, was managing more than 200 concurrent construction projects using paper-based processes (spreadsheets, Word docs and manual approvals). This manual system caused communication breakdowns, delays, rework and a lack of portfolio-level visibility, creating significant lost opportunity and rising construction-management costs.

BHSF implemented Meridian Systems’ Proliance software with systems integrator Runding, using a phased rollout focused on contract, budget and change-order management, plus Cognos business intelligence for executive reporting. The solution standardized workflows, sped approvals, improved reporting and collaboration, reduced staffing pressure while growing the project pipeline, and is expected to save nearly $4 million a year in construction management costs—with strong user adoption and plans to extend access to general contractors.
