Kullman Uses Prolog® Software to Reduce Waste, Fast-Track Construction and Grow Revenues by 166 Percent in a Single Year

Kullman Buildings Corp., founded in 1927, is a long-established leader in offsite modular construction, serving markets such as education, healthcare and government. After a 2006 ownership change, the company—then financially distressed—needed a project-management solution to support its fast, lean modular process, tighten record-keeping, reduce defects and streamline workflows.

Kullman redeployed Meridian Systems’ Prolog and Prolog WebSite with PSS Consulting’s support and integrated it with Sage Timberline for real-time costing and executive dashboards. Centralized data, automated workflows and two-way accounting integration reduced waste and duplicate entry, sped delivery (e.g., Muhlenberg College modules set in under eight weeks), improved visibility and staff productivity—and helped drive revenues from $16M in 2006 to $44M in 2007 (166% growth), with 2008 forecasts above $60M.
