Irish Contractor Stays Ahead Of Competition With Trimble

Maveric Contractors, a Galway-based civil contractor founded in 2004, made an early strategic decision to adopt Trimble grade control, positioning and surveying technology to differentiate itself and win complex civil engineering work. That choice—supported by partner SITECH UK & Ireland—helped the firm grow across Ireland, the UK and Europe and tackle challenging projects, including a €9.5M Dublin microchip plant where crews must cross or avoid roughly 700 underground live services while installing a 1.3 km industrial water main.

Maveric implemented an end-to-end Trimble solution (GCS900 and Trimble Earthworks machine control, total stations and GNSS rovers, SCS900 and Trimble Business Center) to deliver real‑time guidance, survey workflows and model-driven site control. The result: increased productivity, fewer errors and costly overbreaks, improved safety through avoidance zones and in-cab point recording, better team efficiency, reliable as-built records and a clear competitive advantage on complex jobs.
