Case Study: LE34 achieves streamlined field workflows and reduced office processing time with Trimble X7

A Trimble Case Study

Preview of the LE34 Case Study

How a Danish surveying consultancy uses advanced scanning technology to support affordable housing

Boligforeningen AAB, a non-profit managing nearly 20,000 homes in Greater Copenhagen, issued an EU tender to scan thousands of flats to streamline tenant turnovers and speed refurbishment estimates. LE34, a Danish multidisciplinary surveying consultancy, wanted to win the contract but found conventional scanning workflows too slow and labor-intensive to be competitive.

LE34 adopted the Trimble X7 scanner with Trimble Perspective and RealWorks software, using automated in-field cloud-to-cloud registration and self-leveling hardware to speed acquisition and cut office processing. With 15–20 quick scans per flat and a cloud merge time of about 45 minutes, teams can scan up to 10 flats per day, produce Revit-ready 3D models for cost estimates, reduce tenant turnover time and site visits, and — after more than 60,000 scans with their first X7 — expand their fleet with four additional units.
