H&M Engineering and Construction Uses Prolog ® Software to Achieve Complete Document Control and Collect $2M in Disputed Change Orders

H&M Engineering and Construction is an Australian steel fabrication and construction firm that manages up to 50 projects a year and generates roughly AUD$70M in revenue. As the business grew, reliance on spreadsheets and word-processing documents left H&M without reliable document control, change-tracking or consistent correspondence formats, creating delays, risk and inconsistent branding.

In 2006 H&M implemented Prolog Manager (via CadStation) to centralize project data, standardize templates and automate document, RFI and change-order workflows. The system delivered transparent, traceable document control, reduced staffing on document management from six–ten people to one, resolved disputes (including an EOT claim) and enabled H&M to validate and collect an extra AUD$2M in change orders on the Wilpinjong project—demonstrating clear efficiency gains, risk reduction and ROI.
