Giorgetti Construction Excavates Four Times Faster

Giorgetti Construction, part of the Giorgetti Group (founded 1890, 480 employees), is one of Luxembourg’s largest public works firms. Facing high‑profile earthmoving contracts such as the Junglinster bypass (125,000 m3) the company needed technology to increase productivity, reduce downtime and minimize rework on grading and excavation work.

Giorgetti equipped excavators and dozers with Trimble GCS900 dual‑GNSS grade control, installed two GNSS base stations and deployed Trimble site‑positioning tools (SPS985/SCS900) using RTK for centimeter accuracy and stakeless workflows. The change delivered faster initialization, fewer elevation checks and halved survey time; operators adapted quickly and achieved grading speeds three to four times faster, with reduced rework, improved uptime and measurable time and cost savings—supported by SITECH France service.
