France-based PERRIER TP Uses Trimble 3D Grade Control for a Competitive Edge

PERRIER TP, a France-based earthworks contractor in the Colas Group, took on the challenging SATOLAS landfill excavation: a complex 3D modelling and earthmoving job to remove 230,000 m3 under a tight six-month schedule. The team faced a delayed start and intricate strata to model and excavate, requiring high precision and fast turnaround to meet the deadline.

PERRIER TP equipped graders, dozers and excavators with Trimble 3D machine guidance (GCS900) and eliminated traditional stake-based workflows. The technology let operators hit design grades within 10 cm, boosted productivity (one levelman’s output rose from 2,000 to 11,000 m2/day), reduced the grader fleet needed from three to one, improved safety, and enabled the project to finish a week ahead of plan—positioning the company as a regional leader in 3D machine control.
