Pattle Delamore Partners Ltd. (PDP), a New Zealand environmental engineering firm, needed accurate, cost-effective positioning to monitor sites, locate small features (like groundwater wells) and support repeat sampling. Smartphone GPS was insufficient and traditional surveying was too expensive, so PDP sought a flexible solution that delivered required accuracy without complex workflows.

PDP adopted Trimble Catalyst with a DA1 antenna and Esri Collector on Android devices, giving on-demand GNSS positioning down to 2 cm and automatic positioning metadata.
