Engaging Maintenance Management Teams for Higher Performance with AgileAssets® Maintenance Manager™

Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) faced the challenge of getting 600 maintenance staff to fully adopt its AgileAssets Maintenance Manager (MMS) amid aging infrastructure, rising traffic, and tighter budgets. The agency needed a cultural shift toward technical innovation, continuous learning, and better data integrity to support executive reporting and more effective asset management.

ODOT launched a comprehensive MMS training and engagement program—power‑user‑led, daylong in‑house training, sustained funding for software and support, employee email groups, weekly team meetings, periodic surveys, and a dedicated on‑site AgileAssets support specialist. The initiative increased user proficiency and engagement, improved data quality and executive reporting, boosted operational efficiency and team morale, lowered maintenance costs, and earned ODOT the 2018 AXIAM industry award.
