Case Study: ELCO achieves BIM-enabled design efficiency with Trimble MEPcontent

ELCO, founded in 1928 and part of the Ariston Thermo Group, is a European leader in commercial and municipal heating solutions. Facing a construction market that is rapidly digitizing—with growing demand for smart buildings, integration with building management protocols (LonWorks, MODBUS, BACnet, KNX) and regulatory pushes for BIM—ELCO needed to give planners, designers and contractors easy access to accurate, manufacturer-specific digital product data.

To address this, ELCO partnered with Stabiplan/Trimble MEPcontent to publish its product BIMs and accessories as Revit, AutoCAD and IFC files in Trimble’s library. The move enabled technically accurate models for MEP workflows, improved service and market reach, generated positive feedback from new and existing customers, and provided usage analytics and support for new product launches (THISION L PLUS and TRIGON L PLUS), helping projects run more efficiently.
