Danish Contractor Saves Time and Money Using Trimble LOADRITE Weighing System

Per Aarsleff is a leading Danish civil engineering contractor working on large infrastructure and environmental projects. While excavating 45,000 m3 (58,500 tons) of earth for its new headquarters, the company faced inefficient truck loading—operators were routinely underloading by about 1 ton, which would have required an extra 47 truckloads and increased time and cost.

To address this, Per Aarsleff installed the Trimble LOADRITE X2350 excavator weighing system with boom, bucket and hydraulics sensors and an in-cab display (±3% accuracy). The system eliminated under- and overloading, reduced the job by 47 truckloads (saving the equivalent of one truck for six working days), improved productivity, lowered costs and fuel use, and enhanced operator precision and safety.
