A Trimble Case Study
Per Aarsleff, a leading Danish civil engineering contractor (DKK 8.5bn revenue, 4,500 employees), needed to excavate and remove 45,000 m3 (58,500 tonnes) of earth for its new 12,000 m2 headquarters. The company’s challenge was ensuring trucks were loaded to maximum capacity without overloading, avoiding costly extra trips caused by routine underloading.
With SITECH Danmark’s help they installed the Trimble LOADRITE X2350 excavator weighing system—sensors on the boom, bucket and hydraulics with an in‑cab display and ±3% accuracy—to provide bucket‑by‑bucket payload information. The system eliminated under‑ and overloading, cut 47 truckloads from the job (saving one truck six working days), improved operator productivity and fuel/traffic safety, and delivered measurable cost savings.
