Dade Service Corporation is a fourth-generation, family-owned specialist in designing and building ripening rooms and cold-storage facilities for the produce industry. As the company took on more projects, its workflows relied on complex Excel spreadsheets and Outlook, which caused duplicate data entry, fragmented project information, costly errors and slow costing—forcing a re-evaluation of project management methods to avoid added overhead while preserving service levels.
Dade Service implemented Meridian’s Prolog Manager and Prolog Converge with help from consultant PTSI in a phased rollout, standardizing processes, centralizing project data and moving timecards and reporting into Prolog. The change eliminated much manual re-entry, improved field-office collaboration, reduced costing time and paper use by about 50%, increased accuracy and accountability, and helped boost service delivery and sales while positioning the company for further growth.
