Concrete Producer Leverages Real-time Mixer Truck Location Tracking and Status

Brannan Sand and Gravel Company, an established ready mix concrete producer in Colorado, was contracted by JE Dunn to supply concrete for Trimble’s new Westminster building. Facing tight 90-minute placement windows and the need to avoid lost time, wasted material and quality issues, Brannan required a 360-degree view of mixer trucks to speed deliveries and maintain consistent pours.

Brannan deployed the Trimble TrimFleet Suite on all trucks and tablets—using geo-fencing, real-time GPS, drum rotation and water-add sensors, CoPilot Truck navigation, messaging and KPI reporting. The system enabled on-the-fly routing and communication, precise tracking of load/pour cycles, and documented delivery times, reducing idle time and fuel use, improving truck utilization and ETAs, and eliminating delays and disputes.
