Clayco Standardizes on Prolog Software to Improve Efficiency, Cost Control and Collaboration for Integrated Project Delivery Initiative

Clayco, Inc., a large turnkey real estate, design/build and construction firm with nearly 1,000 employees and $880M in revenue, needed to standardize project controls to support its Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) initiative. Although Clayco had used Prolog Manager for document control for 13 years, use was not universal, project data lived in spreadsheets and individual computers, and a delayed ERP rollout created urgency to find a single, web‑accessible system to centralize records, standardize processes, improve executive oversight and automate workflows.

Clayco standardized on Prolog Converge with consulting and integrations from Byrne Software to connect Prolog to JD Edwards, BIM and estimating systems and deployed a budget forecasting/earned‑value solution. The web and offline-capable system went live in late 2010, delivering automated RFIs and notifications, faster data queries (minutes versus days), real‑time cost tracking, customized client reports, reduced administrative burden and improved field collaboration; 100 users were onboarded with plans to migrate all projects for broader IPD benefits.
