City of Fort Wayne - Customer Case Study

The City of Fort Wayne, Indiana provides wastewater collection service for about 250,000 people and faced a major challenge to reduce combined sewer overflows under a 2007 EPA and IDEM consent decree. To meet compliance goals, the city worked with Trimble and used Telog’s wireless CSO monitoring system to gain better visibility into overflow events and improve water quality.

Trimble’s Telog Enterprise software and wireless telemetry units delivered real-time alerts, centralized data collection, and reporting needed for compliance. The system helped Fort Wayne quickly identify overflow locations during record rainfall in June 2015, allowing pumps to be strategically placed to prevent backups and flooding.
