A Trimble Case Study
Spotland Copenhagen is a Denmark-based surveying and data-processing contractor that delivers 3D models for construction projects. Facing challenges building accurate, high-quality models for roadways, intersections and new developments—and wanting to reduce rework and improve jobsite data sharing—Spotland needed a faster, more connected modeling workflow for machine-control use.
Spotland adopted Trimble solutions including Business Center - HCE, Connected Community, total stations, rovers and GCS900 to centralize design data and deliver models directly to machines. The intersection tools and 3D workflows cut intersection modeling time from 2–3 days to about one day (a ~50% speedup), save roughly four hours per design revision on medium sites, reduce operator queries and rework, and deliver real-time models to machine control—producing faster, more accurate construction and cost savings.
