PORR Romania, part of the PORR Group, needed a faster, higher-quality way to execute the Sibiu-Pitesti Lot 1 motorway project by implementing integrated BIM technologies and improving collaboration across design, surveying, and construction. The company also wanted a more connected workflow for a major infrastructure project, including machine control and productivity management.

Using Trimble solutions such as Quadri, WorksManager, VisionLink/Works OS, Trimble hardware, and Trimble Business Center, PORR Romania connected office and field data in a shared BIM environment. Trimble helped the team track progress, compare design with as-built conditions, and calculate volumes directly in the model; the highway was completed 4 months ahead of schedule, and teams worked from the same connected data across the project.
