Arup, a global multidisciplinary engineering and design firm with around 600 electrical engineers, needed a single electrical design solution for projects conforming to IEC standards that supported complex designs, easy information sharing with contractors and consultants, quick and intuitive use, and strong technical support.

Arup adopted Amtech’s Designer Suite (ProDesign, Protect HV, PowerNet HV and SingleCable), using integrated tools for design, protection coordination and short‑circuit analysis. Integration and automatic updates sped workflows and enabled more complex studies, while an intranet Electrical Skills Network plus Amtech support and R&D collaboration (e.g., adding conductor temperatures) created a shared knowledge base and continuous improvement—resulting in faster, more accurate designs and high user satisfaction.
