A Trimble Case Study
AFRY, a leading engineering and advisory firm in Gothenburg, needed a better way to bring geotechnics into its BIM workflow and share information across disciplines. Previously, its teams worked largely in CAD with file-based exchanges, which made updates slow and section generation time-consuming. AFRY used Trimble’s Quadri and Novapoint GeoSuite to create a more unified, model-based process for infrastructure projects.
With Trimble, AFRY connected geotechnical data directly to the Quadri model, generated soil and rock models, and shared live project information through Trimble Connect. This helped all disciplines collaborate in real time, keep data current, and give clients web-based access to updated models. The new workflow saved significant time on section and profile creation and improved coordination across large projects.
