AECOM Uses Prolog Manager to Deliver High Quality Program Management and Controls Services on $450M Bond Program for Dallas County Community College District

AECOM, a global engineering and program management firm, was hired to manage the Dallas County Community College District’s $450M 2004 bond program, providing program management for Brookhaven and Richland campuses and program controls district-wide. The challenge was coordinating dozens of contractors and stakeholders across seven colleges, meeting public M/WBE reporting requirements, integrating real-time public updates, and maintaining consistent financial and document controls across a large, multi-year capital program.

AECOM implemented Meridian’s Prolog Manager, configured with help from Project 3 Technologies, to standardize document and cost controls, track M/WBE commitments, integrate updates with the DCCCD website, and support RFIs, submittals and meeting minutes. The solution enabled over 200 users to collaborate, improved reporting and transparency, streamlined closeout (saving weeks), helped verify accounting accuracy, mitigated budget risk, and supported on-time completion of the majority of projects by February 2010.
