A Trimble Case Study
Grupo Cano, a Mexico-based steel structure and roofing membrane company with more than 35 years of experience, needed greater accuracy, control, and coordination across design, bidding, fabrication, and delivery. As project complexity grew, the company wanted to move beyond 2D workflows and improve planning, communication, and capacity management using Trimble’s Tekla software.
Trimble implemented Tekla Structures, Tekla Model Sharing, Trimble Connect, and Tekla PowerFab to create a connected BIM-based workflow. As a result, Grupo Cano re-engineered its processes, reduced planning time from one or two weeks to a single day, improved fabrication and logistics planning, and cut RFIs and misunderstandings through better model-based collaboration. The company also reported about 500% less planning time, stronger control over projects, and improved efficiency and quality.
