Design Excellence (India) Pvt. Ltd. (DXL), a leading Indian civil and structural engineering consultancy, was tasked by mining giant Ma’aden to design and detail a 3,500 MT phosphate beneficiation plant in Saudi Arabia. The project had a tight three-month deadline, but COVID-19 lockdowns forced the team to work remotely from multiple locations and IT setups, creating major collaboration challenges. DXL relied on Trimble’s Tekla Structures and Tekla Model Sharing to keep the work moving.

Trimble’s Tekla Model Sharing enabled multiple teams in different cities to work on the same model simultaneously, with 24/7 cloud support and shift-based collaboration. As a result, DXL successfully completed the modelling and shop drawings on time, despite having nearly 60 users accessing the model in a single day and working in parallel, and delivered the project seamlessly without penalties to the client.
