Wareing Buildings, a UK structural steel fabricator, wanted to digitise its business and replace a largely paper-based, manual workflow for managing orders, fabrication, tracking, and deliveries. The company turned to Trimble and its Tekla software portfolio, including Tekla PowerFab, to create a central information management system that could be used across the business.

Trimble implemented Tekla PowerFab to connect material ordering, production control, fabrication schedules, logistics, reporting, and traceability in one system. After eight months, Wareing Buildings reported clearer visibility, better coordination, faster access to job status, and automated reporting, with staff able to update work in real time via smart devices. The new system also improved customer transparency through Trimble Connect and helped the company identify process improvements and quality gains across its operations.
