A Trimble Case Study
BYLOR, the joint venture building Hinkley Point C in the UK, faced the challenge of replacing paper-based processes on one of Europe’s largest and most complex construction projects. To manage massive volumes of inspection, testing, and project records more efficiently, BYLOR used Trimble products including Tekla and Viewpoint Field View.
Trimble implemented the cloud-based Viewpoint Field View solution to digitize field forms, defect management, project management, and handover workflows, while also linking concrete pours and records to the project’s 3D model. The result was a more consistent, transparent, and fully visible quality and recording system, with faster access to site data and immediate retrieval of records by casting ID, improving communication and helping teams manage data across 220,000 tons of reinforcement and 1.3 million cubic meters of concrete.
