Case Study: NCC achieves faster, more accurate construction delivery with Trimble mixed reality and BIM solutions

From physical to digital and vice versa – the future of construction seen on-site Trimble’s new Finland offices

NCC, the builder of Trimble’s new Finland offices, faced the challenge of planning and delivering a highly complex construction project while pushing construction workflows from physical to digital. Working with Trimble, NCC also became the first in Finland to pilot the Trimble XR10 hard hat on site, alongside tools like Trimble Connect, scanning, BIM, and robotic positioning technologies.

Trimble implemented an integrated mix of software and field hardware to support collaboration, real-time updates, quality control, and mixed reality visualization on the jobsite. The solution helped NCC improve planning and execution, reduce errors, speed up work, and enable live remote site reviews during the epidemic; NCC reported using the XR10 in daily operations and planned to expand it to other sites.
