Easier materials management and more unified processes thanks to Tekla PowerFab

Teräselementti Oy, a Finnish structural steel fabricator, needed a better way to manage materials and align design, detailing, and production. Before working with Trimble and adopting Tekla PowerFab, the company relied heavily on manual Excel-based material optimization and had to spend hours or even days planning in large projects.

Trimble implemented Tekla PowerFab to unify project, material, and production management, with added use of Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect. The results included material optimization cut from hours or days to about 30 minutes, planning reduced to a single meeting, better use of supplier and stock materials, lower waste, and clearer, more collaborative production processes.
