2D Grade Control System Reshapes Leading Edge Earthmoving’s Productivity

Leading Edge Earthmoving, a Victoria, Australia-based earthmoving company founded in 2017, needed a better way to minimize getting in and out of the machine to check levels during final trim grading and excavation work. The company was looking for a more affordable way to improve productivity, quality, and fuel use on small private jobs.

Trimble provided the Trimble Earthworks Grade Control Platform for Excavators, along with the Trimble LC450 Laser Catcher and a Spectra Precision Grade Laser. The solution helped Leading Edge Earthmoving save about 1–2 hours per day, improve fuel efficiency, and maintain assured quality by keeping the operator in the cab and more focused on the job.
