Pankow, a concrete builder and self-performing contractor, needed a better way to control cost, schedule, and coordination across preconstruction and the field. Using Trimble’s Tekla software, Pankow wanted to replace inaccurate reference models and spreadsheet-based takeoffs with a more reliable, model-based workflow for concrete estimating and planning.

Trimble’s Tekla Structures helped Pankow build detailed 3D concrete models, attach estimating data, and use model-based takeoffs, coordination reviews, field drawings, and layout points. The result was earlier issue detection, fewer RFIs, fewer estimation and quantity errors, tighter alignment between budgeted and spent work, and more accurate, up-to-date information passed from preconstruction to operations and the field.
