Prefabrication depends on good preparation - Nijhof Installation Technology explains

Nijhof Installation Technology, a full-service installation company in the Netherlands, was looking for better ways to support its growing prefabrication workflow and move from 2D/AutoCAD to more efficient 3D/Revit-based preparation. As prefabrication became essential to delivering sustainable residential and apartment projects faster and with fewer errors, the company needed more reliable product data, better design preparation, and tools that could simplify its complex installation planning.

To address this, Nijhof Installation Technology implemented Trimble’s Stabicad for Revit, including the prefab module and MEP content library. Trimble helped the team create prefab sets faster, draw and verify installations, clean up architectural drawings, and automatically generate material lists, while reducing the need for a dedicated Revit expert to maintain product families. The result was less workload, improved insight from 3D designs, more efficient prefabrication, and higher-quality, error-free on-site installation.
