AFRY and Kreera Design Large Rail Project with Trimble's BIM solution

AFRY, working with subcontractor Kreera on the Maland rail project outside Sundsvall, needed a better way to coordinate complex railway, road, terrain, and drainage design across teams in multiple locations. Using Trimble’s BIM solution, including Novapoint and the cloud-based Quadri model, they replaced fragmented 2D workflows with a shared 3D model for the new rail connection and track upgrades.

Trimble’s solution enabled AFRY and Kreera to collaborate in one always-updated model, quickly spot clashes, and make changes earlier in the design process. The result was faster, more confident engineering, improved coordination, fewer errors, and reduced need for physical meetings, with all stakeholders able to view and work from the same project data.
