CBG Consultants, a building services consultancy with more than 50 engineers, needed a more consistent and user-friendly way to standardise MEP design across electrical and mechanical work. After using a mix of older tools, the firm turned to Trimble’s ProDesign and Stabicad to improve accuracy, productivity, and integration with Revit.

Trimble implemented ProDesign for electrical design and calculations and Stabicad for Revit MEP design, bringing ventilation, plumbing, and circuit work into a more unified environment. The result was streamlined processes, better design accuracy through manufacturer-specific data, CIBSE SVA-verified outputs, and less time spent cross-checking results; Trimble also added requested features such as British Standard domestic water calculations, helping CBG Consultants work more efficiently and confidently.
