The Howard Hughes Corporation, a Dallas‑based developer and operator of master‑planned communities and commercial properties across 16 states, needed to modernize construction workflows to support its CMAR/IPD project delivery approach. The team faced undocumented paper and email chains, repetitive data entry, and no single cloud solution for bidding, RFIs, document storage and integrated submittals — including a need to connect to its J.D. Edwards accounting system for efficient invoicing and payment.

Howard Hughes implemented e-Builder Enterprise to create a single, traceable workflow linking RFIs, change orders, costs and payments with its accounting system, automating processes and consolidating Potential Change Orders, Change Orders and Pay Applications to cut duplicate data entry. More than 850 internal and external users now capture project documentation in a centralized, version‑controlled repository, eliminating email chatter, producing a searchable audit trail, streamlining submittals and improving collaboration across the department.
