Texas DOT Improved Pavement Planning & Maintenance Operations

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), which manages 200,000 lane miles across 254 counties and roughly 500 million daily vehicle miles, had implemented AgileAssets Maintenance Manager and Pavement Analyst as separate systems. Because the pavement management system (PMS) and maintenance management system (MMS) were siloed, teams lacked up-to-date work history and common visibility, which made it difficult to tell whether condition changes reflected maintenance or rating issues and led to redundant planning and coordination problems for multi‑year pavement plans.

TxDOT integrated Pavement Analyst and Maintenance Manager so the PMS can import MMS data and import preselected maintenance projects into 4‑year plans, generate work requests and maps, and avoid duplicate or conflicting projects. The integration improved data quality and accessibility, streamlined workflows, supported better strategic planning and resource allocation, and increased operational efficiency and decision‑making across pavement and maintenance teams.
