Temple University Realizes Capital Connections with PMIS

Temple University, a public institution serving more than 38,000 students across 17 schools and multiple campuses, launched a large capital program under its Visualize Temple and Verdant Temple plans with more than 150 concurrent projects. The facilities team faced minimal transparency for senior leadership, an inability to manage the increased workload, heavy reliance on manual processes (handwritten invoices, spreadsheets, manual reports), and low confidence in their data and reporting.

In 2014 Temple adopted e-Builder Enterprise’s cloud-based PMIS, using Cost, Document Management, and Reporting modules plus an automated Project Update Process to manage budgets, change orders, invoices, and weekly updates. The system delivered clearer project and team metrics, faster reporting and benchmarking of architects/contractors, improved productivity and oversight, and full executive and facilities-team buy-in.
