Providence is a large healthcare system with 52 hospitals and 1,085 clinics across seven U.S. states that needed a centralized way to track capital projects, costs, and documents. With projects spread across regions and many internal and external stakeholders (general contractors, architects, finance teams), the organization sought a single platform to streamline communication and control processes.

Providence implemented e-Builder Enterprise to digitize invoicing, change orders, contract initiation and closeout, and other construction workflows, integrating it with financial analytics and ERP systems. Today about 200 users manage roughly 1,200 active projects in the system; standardized approval chains and cleaner data have improved reporting accuracy, sped vendor payments, made invoice tracking easier, and given leaders better program-level insights, with plans to add DocuSign for external vendor signatures.
