Torch Clean Energy deploys 15MW PV/24MWh BESS hybrid control with Trimark Associates, Inc.

Torch Clean Energy required a control solution for its Taos Mesa Energy Center, a 15MW solar and battery storage hybrid facility in New Mexico. The challenge was to manage this complex resource in compliance with grid standards. Vendor Trimark Associates, Inc. provided its Vantage SCADA controls to meet this need.

Trimark implemented a hybrid site controller that was the first to fully comply with the MESA-DER open standard. The solution successfully managed the 15 MWac solar array alongside a 12 MWac / 24 MWh Tesla battery system, enabling the facility's participation in the energy market.
