EDF Renewable Services commissions a 9 MW wind facility with Trimark

EDF Renewable Services required a CAISO-compliant solution for their 9 MW La Brisa Wind Farm to meet interconnection and market participation requirements. The challenge involved integrating necessary telemetry and automated dispatch systems to ensure the wind farm could operate successfully in the California energy market. Vendor Trimark Associates, Inc. was engaged to provide this critical infrastructure.

Trimark implemented an end-to-end solution by installing a CAISO-approved Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) and revenue meter. They provided New Resource Implementation support and established Automated Dispatch System (ADS) integration, using radios for communication between the RIG, meter, and a SODAR unit. This work by Trimark successfully enabled the La Brisa Wind Farm to achieve commercial operation and participate in the automated energy market.
