Case Study: AES achieves dispatchable renewable energy with Trimark Associates

AES dispatches 127 MW of clean energy with Trimark Associates, Inc.

The customer, AES, sought to make the solar energy generated by their Lancaster Area Battery (LAB) project a dispatchable renewable energy resource and add more clean energy to their portfolio. To meet this challenge, they engaged vendor Trimark Associates, Inc. for its energy market automation services.

Trimark implemented a solution utilizing its MPPC modifications, Vantage user interface configuration and hosting, and integration of BESS controls with the MPPC and CAISO ADS. This work enabled the 127 MW AC battery energy storage system (BESS) to successfully support AES's primary goal of creating a dispatchable renewable resource, thereby adding additional clean energy to its customer offerings.
