ALSTOM Power Drives Accurate Data for Madeleine

ALSTOM Power, a global leader in power-plant and environmental technologies, launched an enterprise-wide MDM initiative called Madeleine under CDO Andreas Beckmann to create a Single Point of Truth. The company faced inconsistent, multilingual and distributed master and reference data across transactional, financial and BI applications and needed to enrich, standardize and govern those data sets for better decision-making and integration with third‑party process applications.

ALSTOM implemented the Trillium Software System alongside TIBCO CIM and SAP PowerMax to profile, match, consolidate and cleanse data, using connectors to integrate directly with existing applications and reduce training and customization. The project standardized international data, consolidated records from sales, profit centers and global power plants, reduced project risk and improved data quality and business decision-making; the Madeleine MDM platform is now active and meeting its objectives.
