Ville de Granby Upgrades its Public Lighting Network for Energy Savings and Greater Efficiencies

Ville de Granby sought to upgrade its public lighting network to improve resident safety, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and cut energy and maintenance costs. In May 2022 the city partnered with Energère and selected Trilliant’s Internet of Things (IoT) platform and smart lighting control solutions to support a large-scale LED conversion.

Trilliant’s IoT platform and intelligent lighting control were used to support the upgrade of 5,794 luminaires to 3000K connected LEDs with an intelligent lighting management system, enabling real-time remote management, optimized operations and reduced maintenance. The Trilliant-enabled project delivers annual energy and maintenance savings, LED bulbs with five times the previous lifespan, and an estimated reduction of approximately 96.5 tonnes CO2e over the 25-year life of the lights.
