ESB Networks - Customer Case Study

ESB Networks, Ireland’s electricity network operator serving about 2.4 million customers, faced the national challenge of upgrading all electricity meters across homes, farms and businesses as part of the National Smart Metering Programme and the National Climate Action Plan. In December 2022 ESB Networks selected Trilliant (via Trilliant Networks Operations (UK) Ltd.), together with partner Holley Technology Ltd., to supply smart metering solutions — including Three Phase meters and related AMI, head-end and meter data management services — to support the rollout.

Trilliant is supplying, implementing, testing, maintaining and supporting Three Phase smart meters and working with Holley and ESB Networks on final design through phase three of the deployment. Trilliant’s solution aims to deliver more accurate billing, improved network management and greater energy efficiency, enabling customers to better manage usage, save money and reduce carbon emissions while supporting ESB Networks’ goal of upgrading meters nationwide for its 2.4 million customers.
