Expedient, a data center operator with nine locations across the United States, needed a cost-effective, scalable, and easily deployable monitoring system for its critical infrastructure. Their challenge was to gain in-depth visibility into their facilities to proactively detect and resolve problems, ensuring reliable service for their thousands of clients. To meet this need, they chose the Niagara Framework from vendor Tridium.

Tridium's Niagara solution provided Expedient with a flexible and modular platform to monitor over 84,500 points across more than 400 devices, including power, environmental, and security systems. The implementation dramatically reduced cabling costs through the use of wireless sensors and allowed for immediate, flexible deployment. Expedient was able to effectively measure power consumption and monitor their entire infrastructure, leading to more proactive management and significant capital savings compared to higher-cost alternatives.
