The customer, Cosentry, a provider of data center and resiliency solutions, faced the challenge of relying on inefficient and error-prone manual "sneaker reports" to measure client power usage for billing. They needed a highly flexible and customizable system to monitor their facilities in real-time, track service level agreements (SLAs), and automatically generate accurate reports and alarm notifications. To address this, they turned to the vendor Tridium and implemented the Niagara Framework.

By implementing Tridium's Niagara Framework, Cosentry automated the collection of live data from over 65,500 points across 240 devices. The solution eliminated manual readings, providing highly accurate billing and real-time monitoring through an intuitive, customizable interface. Key results include the immediate notification of alarms, which increased operational confidence and team efficiency, and the automated generation of custom reports on power usage.
