Case Study: Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency achieves faster, safer SAP migration with Tricentis

Ensuring a smooth road to SAP cloud and S/4HANA migration at NZTA

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) needed to support a complex SAP migration first to cloud hosting and then to S/4HANA, while avoiding disruption to critical road, finance, property, and reporting systems. With no test automation in place and manual testing already straining the business, NZTA turned to Tricentis and its partner TTC, using Tricentis Tosca to help validate core SAP transactions and interfaces.

Tricentis, working with TTC, implemented automated testing that was created in NZTA’s on-prem SAP environment and successfully reused in the cloud. In just one month, NZTA went from 0 to 31 automated tests across six core functions, cutting 15 person-days of manual testing down to 1.25 hours and enabling repeated, low-impact testing throughout the migration.
