Dolby amplifies testing success with ServiceNow automation

Dolby faced a major testing challenge with frequent ServiceNow upgrades and quarterly patches, which required more than nine weeks of manual regression testing by 14 team members. The work was time-consuming, difficult to scale across multiple applications and regions, and did not provide complete coverage. Dolby worked with Tricentis, using Tosca scriptless test automation and Tricentis Test Data Management, to modernize its testing approach.

Tricentis helped Dolby automate ServiceNow and its integrations with Peoplecare HR and AskIT through a risk-based, sprint-driven rollout. The result was 90%+ automated coverage across key areas, 200+ test cases automated, and 95% of tests run unattended on Tricentis Distributed Execution Server during non-working hours. Dolby also gained more reusable test cases, better test data management, and a low-touch model that streamlined upgrades and reduced regression testing from weeks to a few hours.
